Oh, that was a hibernation worth to mention! I’m talking about the fact that I haven’t had the time.. Ehrrm, let me re-phrase that in a honest way; I haven’t prioritized posting my discoveries here in life for the past 5 months.

To make a short re-cap for myself:
November+December: Last months on my former employment. I was planning to take some vacation, but when you your client still needs you on site and your plan is to move on to a new employer, you can’t just leave. I hope I managed to round it up gracefully (and that the client shares my belief in that).

Christmas Holiday: Ah, finally some nice time with the family. Uhm, actually no. As usual a very hectic time, trying to get everything and everyone (including myself) in christmas mood. And of course, on new years day, the destiny surprised us with an opportunity to move to the neighborhood where we have been seeking for an apartment for such a long time. Oh oh. Now we have just one month to pack everything…

January: At the same time I started my employment at RemoteX Technologies and, as you probably understand, you need to pay some extra attention on the new job.

February: Moving time! And of course, with alot of packing left to do, the whole family gets the flu, just one week before the date we’re supposed to move.
When all things found their place in a moving box, we could count 80 boxes, still some things excluded. And why is this crazy? Well, you understand, our apartment is only 62 square meters. 80 boxes is quite a deal on that area. I don’t know how all the things got there, but somehow they did.

Thanks to many friends and my beloved parents; Mission accomplished (not that I had any doubts, errhm..).
Quote from Mårten: “- That was the strangest move I ever have participated in!”

So what about the new job? Well, that have been quite nice. Starting with my new employment I moved away from developing support systems for “sysprep solutions” and into the brave new world of WCF.
“- WTF?”, you say.
No, WCF, the Windows Communication Foundation, one of the “pillars” of the next upcoming version of the Microsoft .Net Framework. I promise I share some of my experiences with that in upcoming posts.
